Welcome!
Veterans serving Veterans. It’s not just our motto, it’s our way of life. At the VAC, we assist Veterans and their dependents in obtaining VA benefits and act as professional advocates on their behalf. Beyond the VA, we provide emergency financial assistance, transportation to VA appointments, and so much more! Best of all, these services are completely free of charge, just think of it is one way the citizens of Sangamon County give back to those who have given so much to this country.

What we do.
For Veterans, by Veterans.
At the VAC, we are Veterans. Per regulation, every paid employee has done their time in the Armed Forces. We believe this makes us uniquely suited to assist and advocate for our fellow Veterans.

We are funded by Sangamon County tax payer dollars, and as such, our local Veterans are our priority. However, as Federally-accredited VSO’s, we are happy to serve those Veterans in need of claims assistance beyond our borders.
